How we use your information
This explains what personal information FA Solutions collects, why, and what you can do about it. We've kept it short and in plain English.
Who we are
FA Solutions is run by Rohan Fincher-Arnold as a sole trader in the UK. Rohan is the data controller, which means he's responsible for how your information is used. We're registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
For anything about your information, email rohan@fasolutions.co.uk.
If we contacted you first
We sometimes email or call businesses we think we could help, for example with a new website or a problem we've noticed with their site or ads. If that's how you heard from us, this section is for you.
What we hold
- Your name and role, if you're a director or named contact.
- Your business's name, address, phone number and email address.
- Notes on what we found when we looked at your business's public website, Google listing, reviews or adverts, and a record of when we contacted you and what was said.
Where it comes from
Only public sources: your business's own website and listings, Companies House, review sites, and public advert libraries such as Meta's Ad Library and Google's Ads Transparency Centre. We don't buy contact lists.
Why we use it, and our legal basis
We use it to offer you a service that we think is relevant to your business. The legal basis is our legitimate interests in finding new clients, which we've weighed against your interests. We only contact businesses about their own business, and only at work addresses and numbers.
Don't want to hear from us? Reply "no thanks" to any email, tell us on the phone, or email rohan@fasolutions.co.uk. We'll stop straight away and won't contact you again.
Enquiries and clients
If you contact us or work with us, we keep your name, contact details, what you've asked for and our messages, plus whatever details we need to do the work and invoice you. We use this to reply to you and to deliver and bill for our services. The legal basis is taking steps towards, or carrying out, a contract with you, and our legal obligations for keeping business and tax records.
This website
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits to pages on this site. It doesn't use cookies, doesn't store anything on your device and doesn't build a profile of you. It tells us things like how many people viewed a page and roughly where in the world they were.
Some pages on this site are made for one business, for example a homepage design we've prepared for them. If you visit one, we can see that the page was viewed, but not who viewed it.
Cloudflare hosts the site, so like any web host it briefly processes your IP address to deliver pages and protect the site from attacks.
How long we keep it
- If we contacted you first and we don't end up working together: we delete your details within 12 months of our last contact.
- If you ask us not to contact you: we keep just your name, business and email address or phone number on a "do not contact" list, so we can make sure we never contact you again.
- Clients: we keep records for as long as tax and accounting law requires, usually six years after the work ends.
Your rights
You can ask us to:
- give you a copy of the information we hold about you
- correct anything that's wrong
- delete your information
- stop or limit how we use it
You can also object to us using your information at any time. If it's about contacting you to offer our services, we'll always stop.
Email rohan@fasolutions.co.uk and we'll reply within one month. It's free.
Complaints
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, please tell us first and we'll try to put it right. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or on 0303 123 1113.
